Leave a Lasting Gift and help fight Batten Disease
The Batten Disease Family Association CIO (BDFA) is the only charity dedicated to supporting those affected by Batten Disease in the UK. By leaving a gift in your will, you will help our work to continue; helping to support families on their journey, bring awareness to Batten Disease and to fund research in the hope that one day soon a cure may be found.
Leaving lasting gift to a charity represents not only financial support but also a commitment to the organisation's mission and a belief in its ability to create positive change over the long term.
Your lasting gift would:
- Assists the BDFA with sustainability allowing us to plan and execute long-term projects, invest in the running of the charity.
- Support the BDFA in our mission to ensure that no family affected by Batten disease walks this path alone.
- Make a lasting impact in your memory.
How to Leave a Gift in Your Will
There a several ways to leave a gift to the BDFA in your will. While you are arranging your will, let your solicitor know that you would like to add a gift to the BDFA. If you would like to add a gift to the BDFA to an existing will, this is called 'adding a codicil'. We recommend consulting a solicitor when writing a will and seeking his/her counsel before making any changes.
